Who we are

Swiss Meetup is a community project that organises events for the Portuguese-speaking community in Switzerland. Data controllers: Ana & Marco (Swiss Meetup). Contact: swissmeetup@gmail.com.

What data we collect

When you sign up for an event: name, email, mobile, age (optional), city and your answers to the form questions. When you subscribe to the newsletter: email (and name, if you give it). If an event has online payment, it is processed directly by the provider (Stripe or Mollie) — we never see your card details.

What we use it for

Exclusively to organise the events (review registrations, confirm attendance, send event information and reminders) and — only with your consent — to send you news by email. Every news email includes a link to leave the list at any time. We never sell or share your data for advertising.

Where it's stored

We use trusted providers to host the site and the data: Convex (database), Vercel (site hosting) and Resend (email delivery). Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland/the EU under the applicable legal safeguards.

Cookies

The public site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. We only use what is strictly necessary for it to work (for example, the team's session in the admin area and the language you chose) plus aggregated, anonymous visit statistics.

Your rights

Under the Swiss data protection act (nFADP) and the GDPR where applicable, you can request access to, correction or deletion of your data at any time — just write to swissmeetup@gmail.com. You can also cancel a registration through the link in your confirmation email.
