Terms and conditions
The essentials on how registrations, payments and events work. No small print.
Who organises
The events are organised by Swiss Meetup, a sole proprietorship of Ana Neto, based at Felsenacker 5, 4203 Grellingen, Switzerland. Contact: info@swiss-meetup.ch.
Registrations
Signing up for an event is a request for a spot. The spot is only reserved once you receive the confirmation email. If the event is full, you'll join the waiting list and we'll let you know as soon as a spot opens up. The details you give us must be true; some events have a minimum age, which is stated on the page.
Payments
The price is on each event's page, in Swiss francs. When there's online payment, it's done securely through our payment provider (card or TWINT) — we never see your card details. Payment has a deadline, stated in the confirmation email; if it's not made in time, the spot is automatically released to the next person. For events paid on-site, the amount is charged on the day.
Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel your registration through the link in your confirmation email or in your account — the sooner the better, so we can give the spot to someone else. Because we book the venue and the food based on confirmed attendance, payments are non-refundable. If you can't make it, you can pass your spot to someone else: just let us know. If we cancel or change the date and you can't come on the new date, we refund you in full. Trips and multi-day events may have their own conditions, stated in the confirmation.
At the event
Our events thrive on mutual respect. We reserve the right to ask anyone with abusive or dangerous behaviour to leave, without a refund. Each participant is responsible for their own behaviour, their belongings, and their own health and safety in the activities they choose to take part in. Our liability is limited to what Swiss law requires.
Photos and videos
We take photos and short videos at events to share on the website and on our social media. If you don't want to appear, tell us on the day or write to us, and we won't publish — or we'll remove — any image you're in.
Your account
The account is personal and lets you see your registrations, tickets and messages. You can delete it at any time on your profile page. We may close accounts used to abuse the site or other people.
Personal data
How we handle your data is explained in the privacy policy.
Applicable law
Swiss law applies. We may update these terms; the version in force is always the one on this page, and the date is shown below.
